WIFE POISONS HUSBANDS WINE WHILE HE WAITS IN COURT

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A thirty three year old Connecticut mother stands accused of lacing her estranged husband's wine with deadly antifreeze chemicals during a bitter custody battle that could have cost him his life. Here's what may have happened.

On Friday, Kristen Hogan was arrested in Connecticut and charged with attempted murder after allegedly poisoning her estranged husband's wine with ethylene glycol, the main ingredient in antifreeze. The shocking case has set her bond at one million dollars.

According to police reports, the poisoning plot began unfolding in late July when Hogan allegedly searched her phone for terms like "how much monoethylene glycol would kill you" and "penalty for not appearing for court hearing on your own motion." On July twenty eighth, she purchased ethylene glycol from Amazon.

The timeline reveals a calculated scheme. On August fifth, the victim received an unopened wine bottle from his stepmother during a family dinner. The wine was corked and placed in the refrigerator after the gathering. Five days later on August tenth, while the victim was at Danbury courthouse for their custody hearing, Hogan allegedly gained access to his Ridgefield home. The victim received an alert that Hogan's cell phone was uploading data to his Wi-Fi router while he waited in court.

During this window, prosecutors claim Hogan slipped the deadly chemical into the refrigerated wine bottle. When the victim consumed a small portion days later, he became critically ill with symptoms including slurred speech, staggering, and vomiting. He required emergency dialysis treatment and ICU admission for glycol poisoning.

Defense attorneys stated "While it is premature to comment on case specifics, the charges are wildly inconsistent with Kristen's reputation as a loving and caring mother" and "These are just accusations and we will take the time needed to diligently investigate and defend Kristen against these claims."

Community members expressed shock, with one saying "I think it's atrocious that anybody would attempt to murder anybody else."

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
