UGA PLAYERS ARREST STEMS FROM VIRAL TIKTOK CHALLENGE

Welcome to Arrest Stories. University of Georgia freshman defensive lineman London Seymour was arrested on eleven felony property damage charges stemming from his alleged participation in a viral TikTok challenge on campus. Here's what may have happened.

On January twenty-ninth, twenty twenty-five, London Seymour was booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail at nine forty-four p.m. and released on bond at ten fifty-seven p.m. The arrest followed incidents that occurred at Rooker Hall and Busbee Hall on the University of Georgia campus in Athens-Clarke County, Georgia.

Seymour, a freshman defensive tackle and son of Pro Football Hall of Fame member Richard Seymour, allegedly participated in what's known as the Door Kick Challenge. This viral TikTok trend involves participants aggressively banging or kicking on doors of random homes and running away afterwards, similar to ding dong ditching but with physical contact to doors instead of ringing doorbells.

The damage at Busbee Hall occurred at approximately four fifteen p.m. on December sixth. One resident reported that an unknown individual attempted to kick in the door to his dorm room, resulting in what was described as a big crack just below the door handle. The cost to repair the door was one thousand one hundred dollars.

A video review of the areas adjacent to the apartment revealed that the damage was possibly caused during the commission of a prank. Initially, on January eighth, a warrant was obtained for Seymour and three University of Georgia visitors with one felony count each. However, on January twenty-eighth, additional arrest warrants were obtained for Seymour and the three others with ten additional felony charges each.

Seymour's attorney stated that authorities took eleven warrants in a case that they could have and should have taken a single warrant, adding that he expects Seymour's case will likely be dismissed upon completion of a Pretrial Diversion Program that would include paying for any damage to property.

The freshman appeared in one game during the twenty twenty-five season-opening win over Marshall.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
