GREEN BAY PACKERS PLAYER ARRESTED FOR ONE HONEST MISTAKE

Welcome to Arrest Stories. Green Bay Packers offensive tackle Rasheed Walker was arrested at LaGuardia Airport on gun possession charges after attempting to check a bag containing a firearm. Heres what may have happened.

On January twenty-third, twenty twenty-six, twenty-five-year-old Rasheed Walker found himself in custody at LaGuardia Airport in New York City after what his legal team describes as a misunderstanding about firearm travel regulations.

According to police reports, Walker attempted to check in a bag at Delta Air Lines Terminal C that contained a locked box holding a nine-millimeter Glock pistol and thirty-six rounds of ammunition. Walker told a Delta Air Lines employee that his luggage contained the locked box with the firearm inside.

The airline employee alerted Port Authority police, who responded to Terminal C and conducted a search of Walker's bag. Officers discovered the nine-millimeter Glock pistol along with the ammunition secured inside the locked case, just as Walker had disclosed.

Walker was taken into custody just before eleven a.m. and charged with criminal possession of a firearm and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Walker's legal representative stated that the firearm was legally licensed in Wisconsin and emphasized Walker's transparency during the incident. The attorney explained that Walker mistakenly thought because he had a licensed firearm and it was in a locked box that he was able to travel with it. The legal team expressed confidence that the case will be dismissed, noting that Walker disclosed the weapon to airport personnel and had it properly secured.

Walker appeared in Queens County Criminal Court following his arrest and was released on his own recognizance. The left tackle, who is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, had allowed a team-high thirty-four pressures and five sacks during the recent season according to Pro Football Focus.

The case highlights the complexity of interstate firearm transportation laws, particularly when traveling through states with different regulations than where the weapon is licensed.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
