FORMER UFC FIGHTER ARRESTED AFTER BITING WIFE DURING CAR ARGUMENT

Welcome to Arrest Stories. Former UFC heavyweight fighter Jairzinho Rozenstruik was arrested in Pembroke Pines, Florida on domestic violence charges including false imprisonment and battery. Heres what may have happened.

On Monday, January nineteenth, Pembroke Pines Police Department responded to nine thousand five hundred Pines Boulevard for what initially appeared to be a suspicious incident. Officers determined the situation was actually a domestic battery incident involving thirty-seven-year-old Jairzinho Rozenstruik, who competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship from two thousand nineteen to two thousand twenty-five.

According to police reports, Rozenstruik and his wife, with whom he shares two children, got into an argument while they were driving from their storage unit in Pembroke Pines. The situation allegedly escalated when Rozenstruik began "aggressively getting in her face during the argument." Police say this "prompted him to allegedly actually and intentionally slap her hand, causing her cell phone to fall to the car floor."

When the victim attempted to exit the vehicle, Rozenstruik allegedly grabbed her by the arm to prevent her from leaving. The police report states that he "allegedly actually and intentionally bit her right bicep against her will." The victim reportedly defended herself and "punched Jairzinho with a closed fist in the head multiple times in self-defense."

Officers documented that the victim had "a visible bite mark on her right bicep, redness on both of her forearms and a red scratch/bruise mark under her right eye."

The victim had initially left the scene but later returned to her apartment building where officers were conducting their investigation. Meanwhile, Rozenstruik proved difficult to work with during questioning. Police noted he was "uncooperative during the investigation and had changed his account of the incident multiple times and withheld information regarding the incident. Multiple attempts were needed for Jairzinho to give his account of the incident."

Rozenstruik was arrested and charged with false imprisonment with bond set at two thousand five hundred dollars and battery domestic violence with bond set at one thousand dollars. He was subsequently placed on an immigration hold for forty-eight hours on January twentieth.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
