FOOD INFLUENCERS ARREST TRACED TO ONE BIZARRE PAYMENT OFFER

Welcome to Arrest Stories. A thirty-four-year-old food influencer with over twenty-six thousand Instagram followers stands accused of targeting at least eleven high-end restaurants across Brooklyn, allegedly consuming expensive meals and refusing to pay the bills. Here's what may have happened.

Pei-Yun Chung, who claims to have graduated from Pratt Institute and received more than fifty honors in Sciences, Arts and Designs, allegedly began a pattern of dining and dashing at upscale New York City restaurants. According to police reports, Chung would order elaborate meals then offer social media promotion instead of payment.

On November eleventh, Chung lingered over lunch for five hours at Motorino restaurant. Staff reported she ordered two appetizers, two full pies, dessert, and hot drinks for just one person, spending time eating and taking pictures of her food. A restaurant employee stated, "She came in and asked for like two appetizers, two full pies, dessert, hot drinks, you know. And yes, it was a little bit weird because it was just for one person. It was like a lot of food."

When presented with the bill, the employee explained, "I told her if she can, just call somebody, give me the credit card number or something and pay for her. Leave like an ID and come back to pay." Chung allegedly refused. The employee continued, "She said, 'no.' I said, 'Listen. The solution is I have to call the police.'"

The alleged scheme continued on November seventeenth at Twelve Chairs restaurant and November nineteenth at Hole in the Wall. At Francie restaurant, Chung reportedly racked up a one hundred eighty-eight dollar bill. Restaurant owner John Winterman stated she offered social media promotion instead of payment, saying "I'll make a nice post for you if you give me the meal for free."

Chung was arrested again after accumulating an eighty-three dollar and eighty-three cent meal at another establishment. A JPMorgan Chase spokesman refuted her employment claims, stating they have no record of any employee with her name, despite her claims of working as a Senior User Experience Designer from October twenty twenty-two through May twenty twenty-three.

Chung was scheduled to appear before a judge on Wednesday but is reportedly undergoing mental health evaluation instead.

All suspects presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Do not take this report as factual, always verify facts. Thanks for watching Arrest Stories.
