Stewart dropped the infant at approximately 1:24 p.m. on March 16. She noticed swelling on the baby's head and informed another caregiver at 2:24 p.m. The daycare facility called the parents at 3:30 p.m.
The incident has raised concerns about the well-being of the infant. As one official noted, "Anytime there's a head injury, no matter how old the child is, that's taken very seriously."
