Welcome to Arrest Stories. A twenty-one-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide and felony reckless endangerment in connection with the shooting death of a Door Dash driver in Nashville. Here's what may have happened.
On January fourth, twenty twenty-six, at approximately four a.m., David Valentine Junior was working as a Door Dash driver near the eight hundred block of Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. Valentine had just completed a food delivery and was driving by a nightclub at eight eight eight Murfreesboro Pike with a female passenger when the incident occurred.
According to police reports, Atirahs Hogan and her group of friends had been kicked out of the nightclub on Murfreesboro Pike earlier that morning. As Hogan and her group were leaving the location, she allegedly fired multiple shots from her vehicle. Police state that Hogan is alleged to have fired shots from a vehicle as they were leaving.
Valentine was struck by a stray bullet while simply driving past the nightclub area after completing his delivery. The woman who was with Valentine heard the gunshots and then realized he had been hit. She immediately pulled their vehicle over and called nine one one for help.
Valentine was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The twenty-one-year-old delivery driver had been an innocent bystander who was struck while driving by the scene.
On January tenth, twenty twenty-six, Nashville police arrested Atirahs Hogan in connection with Valentine's death. The twenty-one-year-old has been charged with criminal homicide and felony reckless endangerment. Her bond has been set at five hundred twenty thousand dollars.
The investigation revealed that Valentine and his passenger were not involved in any altercation at the nightclub and were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when the shooting occurred.
